Congratulations to our Spelling Bee Team for coming in joint 2nd place by only one mark off the first place position….all came down to the spelling of ‘disastrous’! We are very proud of everyone who put themselves forward for each of the heats.
Well done to our New Age Kurling Team who played spectacularly and ensured that the winning trophy came back to our school again! Our hockey team went to play at Dulwich Prep School yesterday and there will be more news about this in the next Headlines.
Well we are finally in our new building! Hurray. This week has been systematic moving of Years 3 – 6 into the new building and then moving Years 1 and 2 into the old Year 3 and 4 space as their area is having its roof replaced over the next few weeks. Thank you to all the staff and pupils for enabling us to make this happen. You have all been fantastic! We have a timetable of activity happening on site over the Half Term break culminating in an INSET day when the staff will be working hard to try to get our whole site ship shape again. It has been quite a long haul with Kier on site and our space being restricted and we thank everyone involved: pupils, parents/carers, staff and the wider community for coping with this time of significant change.
Your patience, understanding and flexibility has been much appreciated. Kier will be moving off site over the Half Term enabling us to park back on the school grounds and freeing up the layby outside of the front of the school. Hopefully this will make drop off and pick up much easier for everyone. We are really looking forward to taking control of our school site again and ensuring that it is ready for our Grand Opening on Friday 25th May. We are leaving it until then so we have time to get everything just how we want it. We will however have an opportunity in Term 4 for the school community to come in and see the classrooms now that Year 1 – 6 have moved areas.
Have a fantastic Half Term break. See you on Tuesday 20th February when we will also be opening the doors to our very first Breakfast Club and After School Club sessions! #excitingtimes
